CinemaCon: Lionsgate presents ‘Now You See Me, Now You Don't’ with fourth film promised
The magical mischief of the Four Horsemen is set to return to the big screen with a new chapter in the Now You See Me franchise.
Now You See Me: Now You Don't is scheduled for theatres on November 14 this year with Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher and Morgan Freeman reprising their roles.
But Film News Blitz’s Ellie Jackson writes how Lionsgate had more to reveal from the mischievous magical franchise at CinemaCon.
Lionsgate running riot with Now You See Me franchise
Lionsgate revealed the incredible title for the third Now You See Me film at the Las Vegas CinemaCon convention, but studio chair Adam Fogelson revealed had more to share.
The Four Horsemen will return with a fourth film already in development, with Ruben Fleischer returning to direct.
“We were so happy with the director’s cut, we’re already developing the next chapter,” Fogelson said (via Variety), confirming that Now You See Me: Now You Don’t director Ruben Fleischer is set to helm the fourth film.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t reunites Fleischer with Eisenberg and Harrelson, who were also the stars of Fleischer’s debut film Zombieland.
His subsequent credits include popular box office successes Venom and Uncharted.
Fleischer will be looking to build on their collective box office return of over $1.2 billion and carry on the strong run of the Now You See Me franchise.
The Now You See Me story
The first two Now You See Me installments were strong performers for mid-budget studio flicks, both grossing over $330 million respectively, and Lionsgate will be hoping for a similar return on investment with Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.
Things kicked off in 2013 with Now You See Me, where the central quartet of Eisenberg, Harrelson, Franco and Fisher starred as magicians pulling off bank heists mid-act to deliver hoards of cash to their adoring audiences.
The antics see them on the run from the authorities, and the story spawned a sequel, released in 2016, whereby a maniacal tech guru recruits the central characters to pull off their most improbable heist yet.
Nine years on, the central characters begin the story estranged, but circumstances bring them together along with a trio of new magical heisters: Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt.
Rosamund Pike also stars.
