Film news: Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot dazzle in Disney’s new Snow White trailer
Disney has released a full trailer for its latest live-action remake, Snow White.
Slated to hit cinemas next Spring, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot lend their talents to the reimagining of Disnye's most classic tale.
Film News Blitz's David Bason tells you what you need to know about the upcoming feature musical.
Once upon a time, Disney was the purveyor of classic, original storytelling.
This age dawned with the release of the animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1938.
Fast-forward to 2024 and a Disney bereft of originality drops the full trailer for its umpteenth live-action remake, coming full circle ahead of the release of Snow White.
The trailer features Gadot and Zegler centre stage as the Evil Queen and titular character, along with glorious forest landscapes and those much-talked-about CG-rendered seven dwarves.
Zegler no doubt will lend sparkle and stardom to her turn as Disney's original princess and she has already flexed her vocal muscles in West Side Story and The Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Now, in Disney's newly released trailer, we see Zegler bursting into beautiful song and expect to see her lend her talents to more Snow White classics upon the live-action features release next year.

Zegler told Variety that Snow White “was my mom’s favourite princess. When she was growing up, there weren’t a lot of dark-haired princesses, and that was the one she could relate to.”
Gadot, meanwhile is giving her take as the sinister Evil Queen in her most-significant role since portraying DC Comics' Wonder Woman on the big screen.
Gadot revealed to GQ last year that “It was the first time I had to kind of audition for a project in a while. They needed to make sure I can sing because this is a musical. So, for a month, I was working on the song, and then I auditioned, and we filmed the song, and I got the part, and it was very exciting.”
Who is bringing the new Snow White to life?
Disney has handed the task of turning Snow White into a story for a new generation to Director Marc Webb, well known for helming the two Andrew Garfield-starring Amazing Spider-Man movies.
Webb also spoke to Variety regarding Zegler in the leading role of his Disney epic, saying "she also has an inherent grace, poise and goodness that reminds me so much of what is essential to Snow White."
Webb is deriving the feature from a screenplay penned by Erin Cressida Wilson, whose writing credits include The Girl on the Train, and Greta Gerwig, the mastermind behind the global phenom Barbie.
Snow White will grace theatres on March 21, 2025.
