One of modern cinema’s greats brings Frankenstein to life
Guillermo del Toro, an Oscar-winning filmmaker who is a master of the macabre and entwining horror with stunning beauty is bringing his vision of the iconic Frankenstein to life.
"Over the decades, the character has fused with my soul in a way that it has become autobiography, said del Toro.
“It doesn't get more personal than this.”
The film lands on Netflix this November and a first-look has been offered of Oscar Isaac's Victor Frankenstein.

Isaac will star alongside Jacob Elordi as the world-famous monster with a cast of incredible actors helping bring del Toro’s vision to life: Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, and Ralph Ineson.
Frankenstein is the creation of the incredible author Mary Shelley and del Toro paid tribute to her upon winning Best Director at the 2018 BAFTAs for his work on The Shape of Water.
“She gave voice to the voiceless, and presence to the invisible, and showed me that sometimes to talk about monsters, we need to fabricate monsters of our own.”
Expect del Toro’s Frankenstein to be an extraordinary ode to his idol.
