Premier League betting tips: Arsenal and Aston Villa to win, Nicolas Jackson to score
Once again, The Bookie Basher and Sports News Blitz team up to bring you the best betting tips and tricks ahead of this weekend’s Premier League action.
The last round of games had it all: red cards, late equalisers, and a change at the top of the table. Also, some bald guy lost his job.
This time around, we have victories predicted for Arsenal and Aston Villa, but Man Utd are backed to continue their slide into the abyss. Plus, Chaucer makes an appearance.
Newcastle United v Arsenal
Having absolutely blasted out of the blocks - with 10 points from their first four matches - Newcastle’s sudden slump is surely a cause for concern for Toon fans everywhere.
They have not won any of their last five Premier League matches and now face an Arsenal side on Saturday who remain legit title contenders.
The Gunners have a few injury concerns but have big William Saliba returning and, given their quality up front, I am excited to see them at evens here.
I like to think of myself as a pretty tolerant cove but, having tipped (and lumped) Fulham to win to nil last week at almost 4/1, I was in bits when the Toffees scored in stoppage-time at Goodison.
Indeed, my blood was boiling hotter than a spoon in a crack den when Beto netted his dramatic equaliser.
That is gambling for you folks, and the truth is I am super confident of getting it all back by backing Arsenal this weekend.
Bottom line: There is only one rule in this f***ing jungle - when the lion is hungry, he eats.

Wolves v Crystal Palace
This is a huge game at the bottom of the table and, with another international break looming, both teams will be desperate for a win.
Still no win for Wolves in the league this season, but they did brilliantly to snatch a point against Brighton last weekend (and, in doing so, knock me out of a £1,600 Last Man Standing competition - wretches).
Oliver Glasner was right under the cosh before Sunday’s impressive win over Tottenham. Now, with Crystal Palace’s winless run finally ended, I fancy them to be too hot for Wolves here.
The Austrian is no mug and has a really talented team at Palace, who I think are going to be fine.
Wolves? Not so much.

Tottenham v Aston Villa
It has been a tough week, I will not lie. My whole family is worried about my Grandad’s viagra addiction. My Nan, in particular, is taking it really hard.
Thank goodness then that we have the fitba to take our mind off things, eh? Fascinating contest this.
Tottenham have been pretty erratic this season, but they have not lost at HQ since Arsenal beat them on September 15. Indeed, that is their only defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season, but I am still unsure about pulling the trigger here at 10/11.
Villa have won three of their last four games against the Lilywhites, and they seemingly give zero f***s under Unai Emery.
They look strong up top and at the back, and I don’t hate current 9/1 quotes that this one is level at the break but Villa claim all three points at the end.

Manchester United v Chelsea
All good things must come to an end. Chaucer made that observation back in 1374.
Now, in 2024, football fans who do not like Manchester United will have been gutted on Monday as news broke that the axe had finally fallen on Erik ten Hag as Manchester United manager.
United have spent around £600m on new players during Ten Hag’s time and are currently 14th in the Premier League table. They are a full 12 points off top spot after just nine games.
S**tshow doesn’t quite cut it, with Ten Hag demanding players and fans ‘stick to the plan’ in every interview while he stood there looking as awkward as a bag of hammers.
Chelsea on Sunday will be a real test. The Red Devils are averaging just 0.9 goals per game this season, while the Blues are averaging 2.1.
With Cole Palmer pulling the strings and Nicolas Jackson flying up front, Chelsea’s 6/4 price looks too good to pass up.
While Palmer has been rightly lauded for his displays this season, it is time to start taking Jackson seriously in his own right.
The Senegal international now has six Premier League goals for the season - and 20 in total for Chelsea - and looks a right bet at 7/1 to score first at Old Trafford.
