Premier League betting tips: Liverpool to stun Gunners, Cole Palmer to carry on scoring

The Bookie Basher is back and basking in the glory of his winning 5/1 goalscorer tip in Bournemouth’s win over Arsenal last weekend.

He fancies Fulham to get out of Goodison with all three points, while Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is backed to keep his army of Fantasy Football managers pleased with another top-notch turn against the Toon.

And he gives his predictions for Sunday’s tantalising tear-up between Arsenal and Liverpool at The Emirates, where Mikel Arteta’s men will be looking to avoid back-to-back league defeats.

That’s enough teasing for you - let’s get stuck in the tips…

Everton v Fulham

Big game on Merseyside, but I f***ing love Fulham’s price here.

OK their away form is a potential cause for concern, as the Cottagers have won once away from home in their last six in all competitions.

However, Everton – while much improved from the sh*t show of last season – do concede goals and they’ve only managed 65 shots this season compared to Fulham’s 81.

The Toffees do not have limitless attacking options, and it’s mad to think that gnarled veteran Ashley Young remains a first-choice full-back.

Am not saying Ashley Young is old, but I’ve heard he owes Moses £20.

Suggested Bet: Fulham to win to nil at 15/4 (Bet Victor/Boylesports)

Chelsea v Newcastle United

The Blues did OK at Anfield, and on another day might have come home with a point.

They are a shade of odds on to win this, but in truth there will be better 5/6 shots kicking around this weekend.

Emmanuel Petit claims that Cole Palmer is NOT a world-class player and that he has done nothing yet. Whatever mon ami.

It's a life rule of mine to ignore French geezers called 'Manu' who have long blond hair (often in a ponytail) and try to do young English midfield prospects dirty.

Palmer is a straight-up baller (five assists already this season and six goals). 9/2 to score first against a Toon side who didn’t look great against Brighton last time out?

In the immortal words of loud, uncouth, mad-looking fictional Geordie maniac Oz, “Why aye bonny lad”.

Suggested Bet: Palmer to score first at 9/2 (General)

Arsenal v Liverpool

Absolutely huge game at the top of the table to round off our Premier League viewing on the sabbath, and you get the feeling this is ‘must not lose’ territory for the Arsenal even at this early stage of the campaign.

Their unbeaten start to the season was ended by Bournemouth last weekend (where we napped a 5/1 winner no less) and they face an acid test here against Liverpool, who have now won 10 out of their first 11 games under Arne Slot.

To be fair the Gunners are winless in their last four against the Scousers, but with William Saliba missing (suspended) it’s hard to make a case for a home win at 6/4 IMVHO.

Mo Salah has been larging it up in the Prem all season (five goals and five assists so far) and the Egyptian King has the third highest xG in the Premier League this season (whatever the f**k that means).

Both teams are averaging 1.88 goals a match this season in this competition, but Liverpool are far more reliable defensively and Arteta’s mob have failed to finish a match with 11 men three times already this term.

All things considered, Liverpool look the value play here at 2’s.

Suggested Bet: Liverpool to win at 2/1 (Betfair Sportsbook/Paddy Power)
