5: The Fantastic Four: First Steps

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally embracing the Fantastic Four after several false starts under 20th Century Studios (formerly known as 20th Century Fox).

Directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in the coveted lead roles, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a 1960s set adventure pitting Marvel’s first family against the mighty Galactus.

The film is set for release on July 25, 2025.

4: Ballerina

After the huge box office success that was and is the John Wick franchise, Oscar-nominated actress Ana de Armas is set to expand the audience’s action-frenzied minds further with spin-off Ballerina.

Slated for release on June 6, 2025, in UK cinemas, Ballerina will feature franchise star Keanu Reeves as John Wick and fans have already been treated to a pulse-raising trailer.

3: Jurassic World Rebirth

Despite scoring a lowly 29% Rotten Tomatoes score, 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion made a billion dollars at the box office worldwide prompting Universal to roll out the dinosaurs once again.

The result is Jurassic World Rebirth with Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson and Wicked’s Jonathan Bailey in the leading roles and Director Gareth Edwards at the helm.

The official synopsis clues fans in as to what to expect on July 2, 2025: “Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs.

“Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived.

“The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”

2: Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

Is Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Tom Cruise’s last hurrah as Ethan Hunt?

That’s the question Paramount hopes drives audiences to UK theatres on May 21, 2025.

Cruise has previously stated his desire to continue making Mission films for many years to come, but the title of the latest instalment and its trailer point toward exit stage left.

A sad truth, or a ploy to recoup box office takings after Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning failed to be as big a hit as hoped in 2023?

1: Captain America: Brave New World

Despite rumours of poor test screenings and reshoots, it appears cinemagoers are eager to see Anthony Mackie make his feature film debut as Captain America.

Sam Wilson has his stars and stripes to go along with his wings and Mackie’s titular character is being pitted against a Hollywood legend.

Harrison Ford is making his MCU debut on Valentine’s Day as ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross and his devastating alter-ego Red Hulk.

Will this be the film to re-energise the MCU post Avengers: Endgame?
