What is ‘The Moment’?

From the mind of Charli XCX herself and written by Aidan Zamiri and Bertie Brandes, The Moment is a satirical mockumentary-style film that showcases the struggles of pop stardom as Charli embarks on her Brat world tour.

Who has been cast in ‘The Moment’?

The film features an incredibly star-studded cast.

We obviously have Charli herself, but the film is also set to feature Alexander Skarsgård, Kylie Jenner, Rachel Sennott, Jamie Demetriou, and many more.

Such a cast is set to bring a hilarious and talented performance to the film, and one to look forward to.

When will ‘The Moment’ be released?

The A24 production is set for release in the United States on January 30, 2026, following an official premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.

No official UK release date has been announced as of yet.

Trailer

The official trailer for The Moment was released on December 11, showcasing a film that combines drama, tension, comedy, and, of course, Brat.

If the rest of the film is anything like what we saw in the trailer, we’re in for a great start to the year when this releases.

Comments

Charli said in Vanity Fair that the film is “a 2024 period piece,” and also that, “it’s fiction, but it’s the realest depiction of the music industry I’ve ever seen.”

This is a film really worth looking forward to in the new year, and knowing Charli XCX, she’s going to deliver a great piece of media.
