What do we know about this film so far?
The Drama is written and directed by Norwegian filmmaker Kristoffer Borgli, most well known for his Nicholas Cage-starring 2023 film Dream Scenario.
This is the first of three films that Pattinson and Zendaya will star in together this year, with the others being The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three.
The film also stars Alana Haim (One Battle After Another, Licorice Pizza) and Mamoudou Athie (Jurassic World: Dominion, Kinds of Kindness).
What is the synopsis of ‘The Drama’?
The Drama follows a happily engaged couple, Emma Harwood (Zendaya) and Charlie Tompson (Robert Pattinson), as their relationship is put to the test when an unexpected turn puts their wedding week into a panic.
What did the new trailer show us?
The first teaser was fairly enigmatic, and while this one is still wrapped in mystery, there were a few key scenes depicted here that are worthy of note.
It starts fairly merry in tone, until our lead set of characters sit down to dinner as they each share what the worst thing they’ve ever done is.
The answers are either cut out or very quick, until the reaction from Zendaya’s character’s redacted answer causes the tone to sour into detriment.
The rest of the trailer showcases flashes of Charlie’s and Emma’s relationship taking a downward spiral, with peaks of violence between the couple in their home and at a wedding-like venue.
The trailer ends with Zendaya’s character pulling out a knife on Pattinson’s character, her fiancé, with him saying, “There’s some drama.”
When does ‘The Drama’ hit cinemas?
There isn’t long to wait as The Drama hits UK and US cinemas on April 3, 2026.
