Film news: Robert Pattinson & Zendaya sharing three films in 2026

Stills of Robert Pattinson and Zendaya in The Drama

You’d better get used to seeing Robert Pattinson and Zendaya on screen together in 2026, as the duo will appear alongside one another three times this year.

Pattinson and Zendaya worked together on The Drama, The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three, a trio of pictures with distinct personalities.

Needless to say, the pair of these fine young actors have enjoyed working together.

Robert Pattinson & Zendaya star in ‘The Drama’

The Drama lands in cinemas on 3 April, and is the work of writer/director Kristoffer Borgli, whose last effort was the surreal dark comedy Dream Scenario, starring Nicolas Cage.

In The Drama, Pattinson and Zendaya star as the engaged love-struck couple of Charlie and Emma.

Their story starts to unravel en route to the big wedding day when an unexpected twist from the past threatens the happy union.

This flick marks the start of Pattinson and Zendaya’s 2026 filmography.

Working with Christopher Nolan

Next up on the Pattinson/Zendaya 2026 film log continues with what could be the biggest film of the year: Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey

The Odyssey boasts a mega cast of stars, including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, Jon Bernthal and more.

Pattinson returns to the Nolan fold, following his appearance in Tenet, to star as Antinous, an antagonistic force against Damon’s Odysseus.

Zendaya makes her bow in a Nolan film, as Athena, the goddess of wisdom and strategy.

This mythological masterpiece in the making lands in cinemas on 17 July.

Dune: Part Three

Pattinson and Zendaya’s year of film concludes with Dune: Part Three

Whereas Pattinson is welcoming Zendaya to the world of Nolan in The Odyssey, this territory very much belongs to the American actress.

Zendaya’s Chani has been growing in stature across Villeneuve’s Dune films, and Part Three sees her as the fully fledged counterpoint to Chalamet’s power-crazed, tyrannical Paul Atreides.

Pattinson, meanwhile, joins the Dune saga for the first time as the villainous, shape-shifting Scytale.

Dune: Part Three is in cinemas on 18 December.

Robert Pattinson and Zendaya have formed a filmmaking bond

Being scheduled on three film projects in such close unison would force any acting duo into a sink or swim scenario, where either a creative partnership could flourish or creative differences could sour.

Luckily, for Pattinson and Zendaya, the experience of working together has been hugely positive.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Pattinson was glowing in praise of his consistent co-star.

“She’s an incredibly hard worker, so talented, and she’s always so pleasant to everybody,” he said.

“No one’s got a bad word to say about her, and she really deserves that…super fun, too.”

Speaking further on the matter, Pattinson revealed to The Hollywood Reporter how he and Zendaya went from working together for the first time on The Drama to finding out their newly formed partnership would continue.

“It was all kind of random,” he said.

“I think we got Odyssey during the shoot on this, and everything was so secret as well so we were like, ‘Did you get a call about the thing the other day?’ And we’re like, ‘Maybe, did you get a call about the thing?’

“It was so fun, I love working with her. I think she’s great and I’d do it again and again.”

Zendaya, meanwhile, told E! News, “I’m definitely a big Rob fan, and although we’ve had 70,000 projects this year, I hope we do it again.”

Could this be the start of a new iconic Hollywood on-screen pairing?
