The casting process has officially begun, and there’s anticipation and speculation of who will take over Daniel Craig’s role as James Bond, 007.

Amazon said, “The search for the next James Bond is underway.”
Variety has also noted that auditions have been taking place recently, signalling the “beginning of the end” of a long wait to find Craig’s successor.
“While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.” Amazon continued.
Five years have passed since the release of No Time To Die, and 15 months have passed since Amazon MGM Studios took over creative control of the James Bond franchise.
The new instalment will be directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
Who is rumoured to take on the role of James Bond?
Several actors from Britain and abroad have been rumoured to be the next Bond.
There’s Callum Turner, 36, who has featured in the Fantastic Beasts franchise and will soon appear in the rom-com One Night Only, is a hot favourite, and he was also BAFTA-nominated for The Capture.
Jacob Elordi is another name in the running.
The Australian 28-year-old has been all over your screens as of late, starring in Euphoria and Saltburn and was Oscar-nominated for his role as the famed monster in Frankenstein.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains an outside bet.
The BAFTA-nominated 35-year-old, known for Avengers, Kick-Ass and Bullet Train, would definitely fit the bill.
Theo James might have aged out of Amazon’s wishlist, with the studio fancying a younger Bond.
The 41-year-old first made his name relevant in the dystopian Divergent films.
He has also impressed on the small screen in The White Lotus and The Gentlemen.
According to reports, there has also been a lesser-known British actor who’s 26 and fits the casting director’s alleged young-skewing criteria.
Tom Francis has reportedly been auditioning for the role.
The actor most recently starred alongside Nicole Scherzinger on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard and has also appeared in Netflix’s You.
Could a relative unknown take the most sought-after male lead in Hollywood?
No details of the rest of the cast, plot, or release date have been revealed.
Knight told the BBC at the Baftas that his work on the new James Bond script was “going fantastically”, adding, “I am 1000% confident that people are going to love it”
The new film will be co-produced by Amy Pascal and David Heyman.
