Adam Driver and Samara Weaving are among several cast members announced for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) new X-Men film.
Driver, who has long flirted with the MCU, will enter the fray as the villainous Mister Sinister, while scream queen Weaving will play Emma Frost.
Both will join Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey, who was revealed in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Christopher Abbott is Charles Xavier
A key role in any X-Men franchise, and one that has been portrayed by some heavy hitting actors, is Charles Xavier.
Following Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy is Christopher Abbott.
The Wolf Man actor has Marvel links running throughout his career.
His feature film debut came in 2011’s Martha Marcy May Marlene, which starred Marvel’s Scarlet Witch, Elisabeth Olsen in the lead.
Moreover, Abbott starred in Kraven the Hunter as the sinister Foreigner.
Now he takes on what will likely be a pivotal role in the future of the MCU.
Newcomer Mara Boyd is Storm
The final cast announcement was that of Storm.
A relative newcomer, Mara Boyd, will follow in the footsteps of Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp.
This will be Boyd’s first major film role.

Directed by Thunderbolt’s helmsman Jake Schreier, X-Men will land in cinemas on 5 May 2028.
